The resources provided have actually been used by and compiled by VOC Founder Theresa Harvard Johnson over the course of the past decade. For you, this means that every resource is valuable depending on your specific projects and areas of interest. Some writing groups charge to obtain resources like this in a single location. VOC, however, simply wants to save you the frustraton and stress that can sometimes come with the process. This database is updated often, and it is COMPLETELY free to access.

Our goal is not to provide a lot of resources; but to provide those that we believe are most valuable to you. - Annotated Bibliographies (How To & Info)
  A bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, websites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic. Bibliographies are sometimes called "references" or "works cited" depending on the style format you are using. A bibliography usually just includes the bibliographic information (i.e., the author, title, publisher, etc.).
