Lay Yourself on the Altar

The Lord gave me some instructions today, and I just want to share them with you. The scripture reference is Proverbs 16:3 which says, "Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established."

The Lord has been speaking to me profoundly about the need for every scribe IN THIS CURRENT SEASON to lay their finished manuscripts on the altar. Even if you have already published your books, pick them up again and place them on the altar before the Lord.

What I mean by this, if that your HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED BOOKS must be dedicated or rededicated before entering this new season. As scribes, it's easy to unknowingly take ownership of what we write or to move away from the original vision God gave us. I've done this many, many times. These things are a part of the learning process. Our Father loves us so much that He will send us a reminder, like this one, to get back on the right path.

It's the MESSAGE inside your books that the Lord wants to permeate the earth through the eyes, ears and hearts of men. As you lay them on the author, ASK THE LORD to PUBLISH this book, HIS book in the earth. In the bible, the word publish is more about making proclamations in the earth concerning the goodness and might of the Lord moreso than it is about distribution.

The Lord may tell you to GIVE A WAY EVERY SINGLE COPY YOU PUBLISHED. But you must TRUST Him. You must believe that HE HAS your best interest at heart.

You are also laying your book on the altar as a way of expressing your humility and total surrender to the Father. You are saying, "Lord, you gave this to me. It is not mine to own. I am only the steward of your Word.  These are your words... and they are for the people assigned to me. Lead me to these people Father. Open doors of opportunity that the gospel might be preached, your truth shared and your love revealed."

You want to lay your books on the altar and await God's instructions. Just because you completed a manuscript and nothing has happened, doesn't mean you've failed. It only means that the timing of God may not be right now. It could mean that there is more the Lord wants you to learn IN HIM through this process. It could mean that the Lord wants you to stop trying to figure things out, and to give it to him...

Your HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED books are directly connected to your ministry. It could be that you haven't stepped fully into your ministry calling -- whatever it may be.

The Lord has already blessed and anointed your book project, but now that it has reached maturity ... it must lay on the altar to be rededicated. Perhaps you told some people about your project that you shouldn't have and they cursed it. The Lord may ask you to bring that very book back to Him, and as you pray... you are able to break those curses spoken over your projects and over you.

Don't neglect the little things. I really sense that the Lord is going to be speaking to you profoundly in the coming weeks.

The bible tells us to SUBMIT OUR WORKS UNTO THE LORD! That means we must bring them to the altar -- ensuring that our motives are right. This presentation to God is ONLY FOR THOSE BOOKS THAT WERE INSPIRED BY HIS SPIRIT.

I pray today that you believe the word of the PROPHET, and will receive the prophet's reward.
