VOC, however, simply wants to save you the frustraton and stress that can sometimes come with the process. This database is updated often, and it is COMPLETELY free to access.
Our goal is not to provide a lot of resources; but to provide those that we believe are most valuable to you. Please alert us of any broken links or feel free to share any additional resources with us that you may find from our contact page. As with all information, please allow Holy Spirit to guide you in the midst of your studies.

The Torah is understood and interpreted according to the level being discussed. The Torah can be understood on four levels, while other writings may be confined to only one level. For example, Bereshit (the book of Genesis) can be understood on all four levels, while the Midrash and sefer Matitiyahu (Matthew) can only be understood on the drash level. The following chart details these four levels.

- Avoiding Publishing Nightmares: Article Database
This is the website of Ivan Hoffman: Attorney At Law. He has a section dedicated to "THE TROUBLES" often faced in legal battles between AUTHORS & PUBLISHERS or AUTHORS & ANYONE connected to their work. The website itself is rather crude to look at; however, the content is rich and well worth pouring through. The information provided can assist the SELF PUBLISHED AUTHOR with avoiding some SERIOUS legal pitfalls -- or bringing understanding to where to go and what do when a problem arises. He specializes in Intellectual Property, Publishing Law, Trademark Law, Entertainment Law, etc.
Very few attorney's offer free insight and advice on their website. This one does. I've found it to be a goldmine. That's a plus for me, and I found this information (with my VERY limited knowledge) helpful as I have needed it.
As with all things, run the information provided by the latest legal statutes or talk with a literary attorney for further insight. But this could be a starting place for those facing trouble with their writing projects.

In addition, here's part of their official description:
This group focuses on book marketing, promotion, and publicity. In other words, How do authors go about finding readers and building their fan bases?
This is an international group of authors, publishers, editors, publicists and others involved in the book industry. Posts primarily deal with the final stages of book production and pre- and post-release marketing strategies. All questions relating to traditional, self-published print or ebooks are warmly encouraged. All postings are proprietary and belong to the poster and the site owner. - Self Publishing (Online Group)

- Plants of the Bible (W/Scripture References)
The Bible mentions about 100 names of plants, the bulk of them of Ereẓ Israel, the others being trees of Lebanon and tropical plants that yield an aromatic substance or were used in incense. (See Table: Plants in the Bible and Mishnah.) These names refer to specific plants, but some are generic names, such as koẓ ve-dardar ("thorns and thistles") and shamir vashayit ("briars and thorns"). Although the biblical plants are chiefly those which were economically important, they are to a large extent mentioned fortuitously. The carob, for example, although undoubtedly grown at that time, is not mentioned in the Bible, while specific vegetables are mentioned in one verse only of the Bible; and these are the vegetables of Egypt for which the children of Israel longed during their wandering in the wilderness (Num. 11:5).
